Riot Games will soon release the open beta for VALORANT Premier. Here’s everything you need to know about the game mode.

Premier is the new competitive mode for VALORANT, where players can experience tougher competition compared to the ranked mode. Riot Games’ goal with VALORANT Premier is to “present an even higher goal beyond Radiant that provides the most competition-hungry players with a rewarding challenge beyond ranked.”

A few days back, Riot Games released the VALORANT Premier in Brazil to test its competency. After the alpha release, Riot Games promised to release the open beta soon. And now, the time has officially approached as players worldwide can join the beta from April 25 to April 28.

    • In the Premier tab of the client, in the Verify Now panel on the right, click Verify.

Note: If you see a Create a Team panel on the right instead of Verify Now, that’s because you’re already verified and meet all the eligibility criteria to create or join a Premier team. You can skip the rest of the following steps.

    • Enter your country code, followed by your area code and phone number. You can find country codes here.
    • We’ll send you a text message with a secret code; enter that, and your account will be SMS verified.
  • Completion of a Ranked placement during any Act.
    • If you completed a Ranked placement in any Act from 1-6, you’re good to go. However, if you haven’t, now is the time to grind some Ranked placement matches. Once you complete your Ranked placement matches, you’ll be eligible to Enroll in VALORANT Premier open beta.
  • A team of 5 to 7 players.
    • You need to have at least 5 players to start a team. If you don’t have a team, you can also join another’s teams. 1 team can have maximum 7 players. Moreover, 1 player cannot be in more than 1 team.
  • If you meet all of these three requirements, you are ready to be enrolled in the VALORANT Premier open beta. Now, let’s see how VALORANT Premier will work.

    How Will VALORANT Premier Work?

VALORANT Premier open beta will run from April 25 to May 21. Players will have April 25 to April 28 to Enroll in the Premier open beta. The weekly matches will run from April 29 to May 20. And the final Playoff Tournament will happen on May 21.

Here’s some important things to know about how VALORANT Premier open beta will work:

  • You can form a team of 5 to 7 players or join one. Once a roster is set, the team owner can Enroll the team and select a Zone. There’ll be 14 Zones listed. The team owner has to select the convenient one based on the players’ locations. The Zone will determine the servers and match the schedule.
  • After Enrolling, your team will be seeded into one of the 20 divisions based on the average MMR of your team’s top 5 players.
  • Players will have up to 2 matches each week. You can view the schedule and map rotation from the Team Hub. You can also queue up from Team Hub.
  • Winning each match will add points toward your Premier Score. If your team accumulates enough Premier Score, you will qualify for the Playoff Tournament.
  • Official Playoff Tournament matches take place on the final day of the VALORANT Premier open beta and will use a map pick-and-ban system like the pros.
  • Playoff winners during the open beta receive a unique Player Card and Title.
  • All players that join the VALORANT Premier open beta and play at least one match earn a Player Card and Title.
  • Riot Games will run another Premier test phase before the full release in July. Moreover, they’ve confirmed that the Match and team history will not transfer over to the final release of the Premier as this is just a beta launch, and it may go through some more modifications.
